Who we are

Palmway builds websites and the systems behind them for small and midsize businesses. Ryan founded it and runs it from South Florida. Questions about this page go to hello@palmway.io.

What we collect

• When you ask for a free online check-up: your name, email, business name and town or area. Plus anything optional you add: your website, what you'd like to improve, and whether we can run a live test.
• When you email us: your email address and what you write.
• When you visit: the company that hosts this site keeps standard server logs, like your IP address, browser type and the pages you opened. Every website works this way. We don't use the logs to identify you.
• How you use the site: Google Analytics records the pages you open, how long you stay, the site that sent you, your device and browser, and your rough location (city or region). It uses cookies to tell one visit from the next. We see totals and trends, not your name.

How we use it

We use your details to do your check-up, reply to you, and talk about work you ask us about. We don't add you to a mailing list.

If you tick the live-test box, we call your business number once and send your website form once, the way a customer would. If someone answers, we say who we are. What we find goes into your check-up and nowhere else.

Who else handles it

• Formspree receives the form and sends it to our inbox. It keeps a copy of each request in our account.
• Our email provider stores the emails we send and receive.
• Hostinger hosts this site and keeps its server logs.
• Google runs Google Analytics for us and handles that data under its own privacy policy.

We use these services only to run the site and our email. We don't sell or share your information with anyone else, unless the law requires it.

Text messages

We don't text anyone from this site today. If you agree to get texts from us in the future, these rules apply:

• We never share your mobile number, or your consent to get texts, with third parties for their marketing.
• How often we text depends on what you signed up for.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to stop, or HELP for help.

Cookies and tracking

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies on your browser. We don't use it for ads, and we don't use any other trackers.

To stop it, use Google's opt-out add-on or block cookies in your browser's settings. The rest of the site works the same without them.

Do Not Track: Google Analytics doesn't respond to Do Not Track signals, so the opt-out above is the way to turn it off. No other company collects information about you through this site, apart from the services named above.

How long we keep it

We keep check-up requests and emails while they're useful for our conversation or your project. We delete them when you ask.

Your choices

Email hello@palmway.io to see what we have about you, correct it, or delete it. We'll confirm once it's done.

Children

This site is for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this page

When we change this page, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how your information is handled, like a new service that receives it, we list it here.
